 Hidden in Plain Sight is designed to increase awareness and equip parents, caregivers,  and community members with the knowledge and tools needed to prevent youth substance use. The presentation begins with preparing for meaningful conversations using the Talk. They Hear You. SAMHSA framework, helping families confidently turn everyday moments into prevention opportunities.

 

Participants will learn how these products are marketed, disguised, and made accessible to youth, and why early prevention conversations are critical.

  • Teen Conversations: How to start and sustain meaningful, age-appropriate discussions
  • Drug Products & Paraphernalia: What to look for and how items may be hidden in plain sight
  • Identifying Teen Drug Use: Warning signs and behavioral changes
  • Resources for Help & Support: Where families and communities can turn for guidance

This interactive session empowers adults with knowledge, practical tools, and community resources to promote drug prevention through awareness.
